he was ko'd in the first round. thats a big concern, specially in the first round by a lightweight! how often in 10 years does that happen in a world tittle fight?
so the doubts being circled around are legitimate.

Sure two of his losses were more about him running out of gas. The Sanders fight might indicate a chin deficiency. Sure, even a straight out of retirement Sanders can hit. So can Peter who had Wlad on the mat also.

It's just that when a guy loses by stoppage to three vastly less-talented fighters, it's hard for me to say he has a good chin. Then when he has to have a guy almost dead before ratcheting up the action, it doesn't say a lot about Wlad's confidence in his own durabilility. Or is he paranoid about hitting "E" on his gas meter? Or could it be a little of both?

I know against Brewster and Purrity that his stamina was his achilles heel. And it's a fair point. I'm not sure that necessarily absolves him from being called a little chinny, however.

Thanks for your thoughts.

Good article, although Klitschko doesn't have a weak chin. What he does have is a stamina problem.

educate me please how many times Khan has been knocked down in a fight? i've only seen his fight with Prescot so I have no idea and not in a position to judge Khan that he has a weak chin, i think you can't judge a fighter with only one fight.... a well placed punch can knock down an opponent with weak or great chin. Let's have an example here, so far I can't remember anyone said that Hatton has weak chin but we was knocked down by Pacquiao with one punch, remember the first knocked down was with Pacquiao's right hand.

Oh sorry I thought you left him out, I only skimmed through it. But don't you think Khan has a better chin now at light welterweight? And he has much stronger legs after training with Ariza, which will help to keep him on his feet longer.
