Boxing fans attending the Showtime tripleheader on Saturday, October 4, from Fox Theater at Foxwoods Resort Casino, in Mashantucket, Connecticut can also come to celebrate the 49th birthday of "Irish" Micky Ward with promoter Lou DiBella, who promoted Ward (38-13, 27 KOs) during the latter part of his career, including the epic Arturo Gatti-Ward trilogy. DiBella and Ward, who fought out of Lowell, Massachusetts, developed a special relationship that continues today.

Unbeaten Afghani Sohail Ahmad returns Oct 11th in London

Unbeaten light welterweight, Sohail ‘Showstar’ Ahmad 4(1)-0-0 takes on Kristian Dochev 11(4)-18(3)-0 on October 11 at the York Hall, London. The fight is part of a show titled ‘The Natural Time’ fheadlined by Prizefighter winner, Larry ‘The Natural’ Ekundayo when he takes on Stanislav Nenkov. Londoner Ahmad, originally from Afghanistan, is coming into the fight off the back of a stoppage win over Graham Fearn just one month ago in September at the same setting for all four of his professional fights to date, London’s York Hall.

This Wednesday, Oct. 1, at 9 p.m, a special edition of Friday Night Fights will take place from the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, Calif., featuring a 12-round eliminator between contenders Hassan “El Fenómeno” N’Dam (30-1, 18 KOs) and Curtis “Showtime” Stevens (27-4, 20 KOs). The winner of the bout will earn the right to fight for the IBF title, currently held by Australia’s Sam Soliman.

Barthelemy will face challenger Fernando David Saucedo (52-2, 8 KOs) in a 12-round bout at the Foxwoods Resort in Mashantucket, Connecticut.
