The final press conference for the upcoming Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. vs. Sergio Martinez middleweight championship fight was held on Wednesday afternoon in Las Vegas. Right here, fight fans can check out a collection of Chavez Jr. vs Martinez quotes and a few pictures from the presser as well, as we continue to move ahead through fight week on our way to Saturday night’s huge bout. Take a look.

Julio Cesar Chavez Jr

First of all I would like to say that Martinez is a liar bc the WBC gave this belt to you. I have seen him in the tapes when he gets knocked down and his eyes are white. I don’t know how he will beat me… the most beautiful thing is he talks BS, but at the time of the fight he only runs and runs. He does not respect the sport.

In the 24/7 I saw one thing. He said it was very difficult to keep Kelly Pavlik off him 12 rounds and this Saturday he will have me in front of him. I will not just beat you, but I will retire you from boxing.

Sergio Martinez

I trained a lot in dancing bc I don’t need much to beat Chavez Jr. This is good enough to break his face a thousand times. It will not be an easy KO, I will punish him a lot then I will KO him. I hope someone in your corner will stop the fight bc I will never stop it – I will continue punishing you.

I will never die on my knees… I will die standing up. I want to fight the best not like Jr. I want what the people want. You’re not suppose to take this fight bc this will be painful for you.

Julio Cesar Chavez Sr

There’s been a lot said about this fight. There is nothing more to say… Now it’s time for the fight – my son is ready for this Saturday. Martinez was talking a lot about Julio, bad mouthing him… he was invoking the devil, but when you see the devil come you will not know what to do.

The fighters talked about the fight itself, and Martinez was very much boasting about what he could and would do. Meanwhile, the promoters also talked about the fight selling out and setting an attendance record for Las Vegas.

We’re close now folks, just a few days away, so keep on checking back for more news updates and coverage on Chavez Jr. vs. Martinez.
