In Martinez vs. Chavez, the champ, Maravilla, dominated Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. over the course of 11 rounds, and seemed to be on his way to a perfect, shutout decision victory. He got cocky in the 12th, and got caught and nearly knocked out. He was able to survive but it made things quite interesting in the final stanza.
With Cotto vs. Margarito II, Cotto got his vengeance against Margarito, after their first fight, in which Margarito had battered him, and is believed by all to have worn illegal hand wraps. Cotto finally got justice for that in a very intense fight and build-up with some real hatred between the fighters.
