Kessler is always a slow starter which I figured he would need a round or three to figure out ward but even the ref said he counted at least 5 supposed "unintentional" headbutts. if you watched the fight you would have seen ward charging in face down ramming his forehead into kessler face time and time again with absolutly no point deduction warnings of any kind. I personally love boxing and love a good fight, but absolutely hate to see that kind of behavior from any fighter. I don't think any of the remaining 5 should have to fight somebody like him simply on the basis of personal uneccessary damage from somebody that intentionally does it. the other guys with maybe the exception of froch are real stand-up fighters. I can't wait for the 2 andre's fight they will probably burn holes in the outsides of the ring from running laps. actually one right in the middle from dancing, holding each other all night. just to clarify I did not care who won the fight, I just wanted to see a good fight. Honestly, after the first Ward combination it was clear that Kessler couldn't cope with the speed and would be in for a long night... Ward's awkward inside game didn't help him, but it wasn't the reason for the loss. Oh, definitely Rich, Kessler’s complaining was a bit of sour grapes to me… and I was surprised to see it from him. From what I read, complaints about Ward's head-butting, hitting and holding and whatnot sound over-done. Ward was winning the battle on both the OUTSIDE and the inside. Head butts (intentional or otherwise) and dirty clinching are not a factor in an outside boxing match, not at all. Also, it strikes me as extremely hypocritical that when Ward does something, it's dirty as hell. When Carl Froch does it, it's making a real fight of it. Oh, except that Ward has speed and skills to boot... I lost my home internet because we moved, so I wasn’t able to watch this fight. I have to say I am so ashamed of the (new) american fighters can we run any faster and potshot and hold any more. just as direll in the froch fight, these kind of matches make me want to quit watching boxing. ward clearly headbutted time and time again with great ramifications on the fight. I have seen kessler fight many times and he is a great fighter who will duke it out with anyone. although I suppose when you get away with dirty tactics for your whole carrier it makes things much easier for ward. oh nevermind I forgot GOD is on only his side congrats to ward for that win, he really knows how to use his head (literally) as he has in numerous other fights.
