New opponent for David Price’s comeback fight

David Price (15-2, 13 KOs) will face Konstantin Airich (19-7-2, 15 KOs) in Stuttgart on January 25. The German heavyweight replaces Evengy Orlov (14-12-1, 10 KOs), who was originally billed as the opponent for Price’s ring return.

Price, who will be making his debut under the Team Sauerland promotional banner, will be the co-feature to the much-anticipated rematch between WBO Cruiserweight Champion Marco Huck (36-2-1, 25 KOs) and Firat Arslan (33-6-2, 21 KOs).

The show will be available to watch on BoxNation in the UK and ARD in Germany. Limited tickets available via eventim.de and easyticket.de.

There’s been so much talk about Price’s comeback in terms of opponent, when the fight would occur, who’s training him, and more, that at this point, I’m sure everybody just wants to see him get in the ring and take a look at his form. He won’t be tested against this caliber of foe, but it could still be useful to gauge his confidence at this stage.
