surprise! there is a more boring fighter than mayweather and he is joshua clottey. did he really train in the 2 months he had before this fight? or did he just train himself how to perfect ‘hiding’? if so, why is he in boxing still? he should have quit as he said he would after his fight with cotto. otherwise why go into the ring and clam yourself up when you’re the taller, heavier, stronger and longer-reaching fighter? if he does not want to take risks, then joshua clottey is either a coward or dishonest.

That is correct Rich. He was menacing when he opened up, but didn’t do it nearly often enough. Manny did well to get as much offense untracked as he did against a guy who spent so much time in a shell.

I was not able to see this live, as I live in Europe. It reads like if Clottey had let his hands go a little more, and relied on his chin rather than his guard, he would have made it more of a contest.
