Cotto made a big mistake in challenging Pacman to a boxing bout. Cotto should had challenge Nanay Dionisia Pacquiao instead to a dancing showdown where he could probably win. Cotto is a good dancer rather than a boxer.

To al you Pac Man haters out there…..NOW WHAT! Everyone writes his victories off with “He was too old” (Oscar) or he was not that good anyway (Ricky). So what will be the escuse now I wonder???
Cotto was simply destroyed as was Ricky Hatton before him and Oscar De La Hoya before that.

So where does 30 year old Pacquaio go from here?

Well there is nobody left for him to fight apart from Floyd Mayweather.

The question is does Floyd want any part of Pacquaio?

If Mayweather does not fight Pacquaio will forever be looked upon as running scared and Pacquaio will be looked upon as the greatest of his era and the pound for pound #1 ahead of Floyd, regardless of the fact that Floyd is undefeated in his fight career.

I don’t know why Mayweather thinks he is better than Pacquaio because Mayweather’s biggest wins have come against De La Hoya, Hatton and Marquez who are fighters that Pacquaio has also beaten. Pacquaio has also beaten Cotto who Mayweather never faced.

Add to the fact that Pacquaio has been champion in seven (7) weight classes which is a new record while Mayweather has only conquered five (5).

So by rights Pacquaio deserves the No.1 ranking even though Mayweather will never conceed this.

If Pacquaio vs Mayweather does eventuate in 2010 it will be the biggest boxing fight probably of all time. Can’t wait for that one.

you are very right with what you said. i am of filipino ancestry but lived in new zealand.People are still having a hard time accepting that someone like him could suddenly emerged out of nowhere.NO one really thought that the philippines could produce such an elite athlete.It totally annoys me that people still underestimates him even with everything that he has accomplished.HE WILL BE ONE OF THE BOXING LEGENDS WHETHER THEY LIKE IT OR NOT CAUSE NO ONE HAS DONE WHAT HE DID.

the card wasnt that bad, swick is not a chump, neither is kang, he was a beast in pride, and still looks good, cracked nose kinda hindered him, if any fight was bs it was couture and vera, vera is no where near becoming a legend, a status that couture has been residing at for years. 1st of all MMA is still a growing sport so y wouldnt one cater to the home crowd? more fans= more money, simple economics, #2 its a free card, what do you expect…the novice fan that wont pay for cards wants to see tko’s and blood, so in my eyes the ufc did its job tonight, this card was better than fedor and rodgers..one step ahead of the competition, thats all thats needed. we saw good ground game, good clinch game, and good hit game, what else do u want.

I watched the UFC 105 event and was happy it was on free TV but was not at all impressed with the fight card. Three Americans fight foreign opponents and yes, three Americans lose. The bouts were not competitive and Dana White did his best to plan this so the Americans would lose by putting in inferior Americans. One American got brutally KOd by a Swede!!!!!! Yes, a Swede. How many MMA fighters does Sweden have????? One, two, three?? How many MMA fighters does the USA have???? The most in the world likely. This is a case of Dana White purposely matching oppoenents so the USA will lose and they did. Nice one Dana White, so much for your patriotism you slimeball, scumbag, traitor. Was the event a success Dana thanks to your pre-arranging the Americans to lose? Be proud of yourself. I now see why some people call Dana White a piece of S-H-I-T, he turly is that.

About the boxing card tonight, I hope for Manny to win. Cotto is a class act and a guy I admire but I never pull for a Puerto Rican fighter (the exception being the GREAT Felix Tito Trinidad) because their fans (Puerto Ricans) are so obnoxious.

Yes, I watched the FREE, live broadcast of UFC 105 on Spike TV. It actually was taped delayed by a few hours and aired from Manchester, England. Nice to not have to pay to watch programs. To hell with all the money mongering greedy promoters in both boxing (mainly boxing) and MMA. I’m happy to get the boxing results tonight as they unfold for free and can always catch a rebroadcast of the actual footage as it always airs within a week or two of the actual event.

Don’t be a sucker folks, do not pay for any of this crap unless you watch it in a party and dish out a few dollars at most by paying as a group, which is all it should cost to begin with, $5 per household.
