Showtime will be available to 74 million households during a free preview this Friday, May 9 through Sunday, May 11. Viewers nationwide will be able to sample the network’s programming.

The free preview weekend will include the series premiere of the new drama series Penny Dreadful, as well as new episodes of the critically-acclaimed hit series Nurse Jackie and Californication, the premium television premiere of Scary Movie 5, and the premiere of Floyd Mayweather vs. Marcos Maidana, the thrilling 12-round welterweight world championship unification bout from Saturday, May 3.

Saturday’s line-up on Showtime will be anchored by the re-airing of Floyd Mayweather vs. Marcos Maidana at 9:30 p.m. ET/PT, the main event from last Saturday’s Showtime  pay-per-view presentation of “THE MOMENT: Mayweather vs. Maidana.” This telecast includes the co-featured welterweight showdown between Amir Khan and Luis Collazo from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

In addition, ALL ACCESS: Mayweather vs. Maidana will premiere “Epilogue” at 11:45 p.m. ET/PT following the special SHOWTIME CHAMPIONSHIP BOXING® telecast of the two pay-per-view bouts.

While Showtime clearly has plenty of other shows to build up, they are certainly capitalizing on Mayweather’s star status by offering his fight replay during their free preview weekend. Getting a chance to see Mayweather, if you otherwise couldn’t, is a huge draw. And now, more fans than ever will get a chance to see a fight like Mayweather-Maidana, and potentially this builds the audience for a rematch, or whomever Floyd fights next.
