Super featherweight prospect Andy “El Tiburon” Vences (12-0 8KOs) of San Jose, CA continued his winning ways knocking out Santiago “The Wolf” Guevara (8-2 3KOs) in the fourth round of the co-main event of ‘Golden Boy Live’ on Fox Sports 1.

For Vences, this is his sixth straight knockout and his victory over Guevara was his most impressive of his career as he defeated a fighter signed to Golden Boy Promotions.

After the fight, Vences made the night even more memorable as he proposed to his longtime girlfriend whom said “Yes!” just minutes after his knockout victory. Nonetheless, Vences is not focused on just this one victory as he stated afterwords “I know this is only the beginning. I am going to continue training hard, staying focused, determined, disciplined and dedicated.”

Vences has committed himself fully to the sport of boxing as he travels two hours every day to Los Gallos Boxing Academy headed by Gabe Flores Sr. , a move that Vences says changed his life. Vences will most likely return to action on August 1st in Redwood City, CA.
