you were pretty thorough and this was entertaining but i think you too much demean Floyd Jr.'s record. Aside from the victories you mentioned, there were lots of wins on Mayweather's 40 string that could have changed things for any fighter. We saw the end of Castillo but Mayweather fought him twice before the end... Same with Diego Corrales. Chop-chop Corley had his moment, too. And who would have been thrilled to fight crazy Emmanual Augustus (or whatever name he uses) in his prime? And Marquez? Maybe you mentioned him, i dont' know. i'm saying this from the point of view of someone who previously underestimated Mayweather. and you DID say that all Manny had to do was take a little drug test, so what? I respect Pacman but let's face it...there's too much juice out there...and why shouldn't boxing be held up to the highest standards of the olympic sport? it could only help boxing...

oh some slow footed plodder who holds no belt and who most importantly lost their last fight. Wait, that sounds like Maneys formula. OMG sorry! I was talking about Maney.

FM is fighting Shane Mosley.

I'm beginning to suspect Mayweather came out of retirement with the sole purpose of destroying Pacquiao's reputation and really has no intention of fighting Pacquiao because he is scared. Junior came out of retirement because of jealousy over Pacquiao's growing popularity. Floyd's initial fight with Marquez was to give way for a face off with Pacquiao. Marquez was offered as a sacrificial lamb. The blood test was just a ploy so as the fight would go to a stand still. Seeing Pacquiao is reacting and even decided to agree to a certain point to his antics, Junior continue and follow it up with more ridiculous demand that he knows will annoy Pacquiao until he call it quits. If my hunch is correct, junior will go back to retirement saying there is not enough fighters that will match his caliber or appeared to be "disappointed" to the fiasco (he created) and thus he'll retire to his sanctuary. It's like shooting two birds with one stone. First, by retiring he preserve his 40-0 standing and secondly, Paquiao's reputation is tainted and he has to live with the drug issue hence he is still the great P4P king. But somehow this kind of scheme do backfire.

I wish the Cotto and Pacquaio fight never happened. PBF waited for Hatton to finish but he opted not to fight Pacquao coz he is a coward. Maybe I am wrong but maybe he is not ready. But after the fight of Hatton he said Pacquiao is too easy for him to fight. But he avoide him by fioghting Marquez so he could have some bases to measure Manny's strength. and it di lok he can handle Manny. He got a lot of things to say about Manny that he deserves a better share coz he is the man to watch. When Manny beat Cotto here comes the son of a bitch lier, suddenly Manny is cheating.Growing up here in America , you would expect a more civilized person. Unfortunately his father and relatives are all schooled in the street, no professionalism and uneducated.

You make an excellent point, Scott. "Innocent until proven guilty" is a bedrock principle of America, one of the things that makes us great. Mayweather-boosters are now clinging desperately to the notion that Pacquiao is a steroid junkie with NO proof whatsoever. Pacman did agree to a testing regime, and I think he might have agreed to one more strenuous than the final proposal ... if Mayweather had been serious. However, Mayweather's line was "the Olympic regime or nothing." I am a big critic of the IOC, and have dozens of complaints from athletes on file of an inspector barging in on them the day before an event and demanding a blood sample. Whether it is physiologically a problem or not, that is certainly the sort of thing that can psychologically upset an athlete. Given that I am on the record as condemning the current IOC policy for the timing of their tests, I can hardly criticize Pacquiao for rejecting that plan. Furthermore, Mayweather is hardly the boss of Pacquiao or anyone else.
