Campbell defeated by Linares in California

Jorge Linares defeated Luke Campbell by split decision to retain the WBA Lightweight title, in California. Campbell stepped into the ring for his first title fight and though defeated, proved it wont be long before a belt is around his waist. Parker retains title with majority decision over Fury

Joseph Parker defeated Hughie Fury after a majority decision win at the Manchester Arena last night to retain his WBO Heavyweight title. The New Zealander won as 2 judges gave the champion 118 – 110 whilst one gave 114 – 114, with many feeling the judges wide margin of the scores to Parker’s win being unfair. In the opening rounds, Fury used his jab and movement to frustrate Parker, who came back with his own jabs, attempting to close the range.
