Adonis Stevenson’s next fight shown internationally by Octapixx

Octapixx Live is pleased to announce that it has been selected to exclusively market the international broadcast rights for the upcoming Light Heavyweight championship match between Adonis Stevenson (23-1, 20 KO) and Andrzej Fonfara (25-2, 15 KO) taking place on May 24, 2014 at Bell Centre in Montreal, Canada.

Stevenson is now being televised on Showtime in the United States, after leaving HBO in a dispute. However, this is for the international distribution.

Promoted by Groupe Yvon Michel in association with Warriors Boxing, the event will feature the 2014 debut of the widely-acclaimed, Adonis Stevenson, who notched spectacular stoppage victories in four fights last year, and has not taken a match to the judges’ scorecards since 2007.

Stevenson’s opponent, WBC #3 ranked Fonfara, is no stranger to knockout victories, having won 12 of his last 13 by stoppage. Fonfara is regarded as a true test for Stevenson, and has legitimate power that can change the fortune of any fight with one punch.

While the rest of the televised card is still subject to confirmation, one fighter that is sure to appear is heavy-hitting middleweight David Lemieux (31-2, 29 KO) who is presently ranked #8 in the IBF, #11 in the WBO and #16 in the WBC. A commanding performance in front of a worldwide audience on May 24 could catapult Lemieux into world title consideration.

“Based upon his 2013 performances, Adonis Stevenson has cemented his place among the elite class of fighters whose every match is must-see television,” says Lowell Conn, Vice President at Octapixx LIVE. “Octapixx LIVE is very proud to be presenting Adonis’s next title defense to international broadcasters, and we look forward to audiences worldwide enjoying a true slugfest from Montreal on May 24, 2014.”
