Eager for his opportunity to challenge the winner of Erik Morales (52-7, 36 KOs) vs. Danny Garcia (22-0, 14 KOs) for the WBC super-lightweight title is mandatory challenger and No. 1 ranked contender Ajose Olusegun (30-0, 14 KOs).

Olusegun, a former British Empire Commonwealth champion who was born in Nigeria, thoroughly dominated Ali Chebah (35-2, 28 KOs) over 12 rounds last September in a WBC super lightweight title elimination bout, earning him the right to fight for the WBC belt.

“My presence will be felt in Houston as I will be sitting ringside awaiting the winner of Morales vs. Garcia,” said Ajose.

“My plane touches down later tonight and I will be at tomorrow’s weigh-in as well, sizing up both of my potential opponents.  I’m a hungry fighter that can’t be denied.  I can’t wait to see who I’ll be facing next.  My dream of becoming a world champion will be a reality in the near future. ”

After being bypassed a title shot earlier this year, Olusegun has been promised by WBC president Jose Sulaiman that he’ll be next in line to challenge for the WBC super lightweight championship.
