Anthony Joshua will face Matt Legg on the undercard of Carl Froch’s rematch on May 31 at Wembley Stadium. Olympic Gold medalist Joshua boxes for the sixth time as a professional and is aiming to take his KO record to six out of six with them all inside the first two rounds.

Legg will have something to say about that as he grabs a golden opportunity to perform on the biggest stage in British boxing history, as the Milton Keynes man looks to cause an upset and comes into the fight on the back of second round KO win of his own in April following his clash with former World champion James Toney in Prizefighter in November.

“I can’t wait to box at Wembley on May 31, it’s going to be an unbelievable experience,” said Joshua. “To box at the national stadium on a bill of this magnitude is a real honour and I plan to kick the night off with a bang against Matt. I know he will want to put on a show on such a huge occasion but I will be looking to add another big KO to my collection.”

Joshua’s clash with Legg is part of a historic night of action at Wembley ahead of Froch’s grudge match with Groves.

Anthony’s fellow Gold medallist James DeGale MBE meets Brandon Gonzales in a final eliminator for the IBF Super Middleweight crown while Jamie McDonnell tackles Tabtimdaeng Na Rachawat for the vacant WBA Bantamweight title and Kevin Mitchell meets Ghislain Maduma in a final eliminator for the IBF Lightweight title.
