Caleb Truax withdraws from Guerrero fight; Jamal James now headlines Friday

Undefeated welterweight prospect Jamal James (17- 0, 9 KOs) will take on Juan Carlos “Merengue” Abreu (18-1, 17 KOs) in a 10-round main event of Premier Boxing Champions – The Next Round on Bounce TV and BounceTV.com on Friday, September 18 from Full Sail Live at Full Sail University in Winter Park, Florida. Caleb Truax was forced to withdraw from his fight with Fernando Guerrero due to medical issues.

The co-main event of the evening will pit undefeated rising star Erickson “The Hammer” Lubin (11-0, 8 KOs) against experienced Mexican Orlando Lora (31-5-3, 19 KOs) in a 10-round affair. Televised action begins at 9 p.m. ET on Bounce TV and live streamed on BounceTV.com with super welterweight contender “Silky” Wilky Campfort (20-1, 11 KOs) taking on hard-hitting Ronaldo “Salvaje” Montes (16-2, 14 KOs) in a 10-round bout.

Further undercard action features undefeated welterweight Samuel Figueroa (8-0, 4 KOs) taking on fellow unbeaten Fernando Paliza (4-0, 4 KOs) in a six round fight, Orlando’s Dennis Galarza (9-1, 6 KOs) battling Bernardo Uribe (14-4, 10 KOs) in eight rounds of super featherweight action and undefeated welterweight Willie Jones (4-0, 2 KOs) taking on Jamal Harris (3-0, 1 KO) in a six round affair.

Born in Haiti but fighting out of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Campfort has not lost since his second pro fight in 2009. The 30-year-old has fought professionally in the U.S., Cayman Islands, Dominican Republic and his native-Haiti. He’s won five fights since the beginning of 2014 including stoppages of Milton Nunez and Devon Moncrieffe. He will be opposed by Barranquilla, Colombia’s Montes who will be making his U.S. debut.

An undefeated fighter out of Anasco, Puerto Rico, Figueroa looks to make an impression when he steps through the ropes on September 18. The 24-year-old has already been victorious twice in 2015 by defeating Jose Valderrama and James Robinson. He takes on Paliza out of Sinaloa, Mexico who turned pro in January of this year and has racked up four victories by stoppage in that time.

The 22-year-old Galarza will be fighting not far from his native Orlando, Florida when he enters the ring on September 18. He enters this fight with four-straight victories inside the distance. He faces the 25-year-old Uribe out of Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico who will be making his second U.S. start.

Fighting out of Tampa, Florida, the exciting Jones will make his first start of 2015 as part of the undercard action on September 18. The 23-year-old’s last outing saw him defeat William Lorenzo in a fight in Puerto Rico. He’s opposed by fellow unbeaten 23-year-old Harris out of Pensacola, Florida.
