Tonight on pay-per-view, Juan Manuel Marquez challenges for a world title in another division, as the vacant WBO junior welterweight strap is up for grabs when he meets Sergey Fedchenko in Mexico City. Marquez vs. Fedchenko headlines the dual-city PPV, also featuring the Brandon Rios vs. Richard Abril fight, which is going on despite Rios having not made weight. As you can see from the photos above, it was quite the event, with half a dozen sexy Tecate ring card girls livening things up – and both of the fighters seeming to enjoy that scene. Julio Cesar Chavez Sr. was also on hand. Marquez looks sturdy and strong, so we’ll see whether or not he’s simply too much for Fedchenko and if he can score an impressive stoppage win.
