Lamont Peterson pulled off a huge upset, taking home Amir Khan’s titles with a controversial, close Split Decision win on Saturday night, with final scores of 113-112 (twice) in his favor, and 111-114. This definitely shakes up the scene at 140 lbs. As such, ProBoxing-Fans.com has gone back to the drawing board for our divisional rankings, and put together a new top 10. Take a look.

Obviously the loss has to knock Khan down off his perch near the top of the division, but the fight has more implications than that. Remember, two years ago, Timothy Bradley dominated Lamont Peterson to defend his WBO title. That win certainly looks all the better now, and it cements Bradley’s position as the top guy even more. ProBoxing-Fans.com had kept Bradley at #1 throughout, and Peterson’s win just makes his status there look that much better.

Of course, there’s more news at junior welterweight as well. Brandon Rios will be officially moving up into that division after he was unable to make the lightweight limit for his last bout, and he’ll be looking to make a huge splash as soon as he arrives. So he’s now listed in our 140 lbs rankings as well.

Take a look at our updated rankings for the super lightweight division after Khan vs. Peterson. You can also view our huge collection of Khan vs. Peterson pictures here.
