French knockout artist Anne Sophie Mathis (26-1, 22 KOs) and nine-time World Champion Holly “The Preacher’s Daughter” Holm (30-2-3, 9 KOs) both made weight for this evening’s (Fri., June 15) 10-round main event being contested for Mathis’ IBA and WBAN titles, as well as the vacant WBF crown and mythical women’s pound-for-pound championship. Mathis weighed-in at 145.2 lbs. and Holm tipped the scale at 146 lbs.
Mathis stunned Holm and the boxing world in their last meeting, scoring a huge knockout win. Now, Holm has vowed to get her revenge, while Mathis is focused on a repeat victory. It’s a huge women’s boxing showdown, and it’s been highly anticipated since the first fight took place last year.
