Bernstein suggests that Maidana needs to work behind the jab to set up his attack. He needs to maintain his work rate throughout all 12 rounds, and he’s coming in lighter to try to achieve that goal. Additionally, Maidana needs to open up Mayweather for the overhand right with his left hook.
For Mayweather, Bernstein says he needs to stay off the ropes and in the center off the ring. He needs to land his signature right hand, and he needs to do a better job countering off the ropes when he does go there.
