Chris Eubank Jr and Conor Benn have already began their war of words ahead of their long-awaited rematch on Saturday.

Eubank Jr and Benn competed in possibly the biggest fight of the year back in April with Eubank getting the nod on the cards.

The rematch was originally set to take place in September, once again headlining the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, but has since been pushed back to November 15.

Over 12 rounds, the pair went back-and-forth with Benn throwing 593 shots in comparison to Eubank Jr’s 912.

In a face off filled with tension uploaded by DAZN, Eubank Jr questioned Benn losing to the significantly older man.

“When I was 28, I’m never letting a 36-year-old man beat me it, doesn’t matter who.

“The fact you’re eight years younger than me and I still got done what I needed to do.”

Despite Eubank’s criticism, Benn fired back claiming after sharing the ring for 12 rounds he learned who the stronger, faster fighter will be when they lock horns once again next Saturday.

“You’re experienced, well done, was you faster than me, stronger than me?

“Nah you wasn’t stronger than me. You punched like a girl. You never had me wobbled in there. You never had me wobbled. You were buckling.”

Benn is the naturally smaller man, contending at 147lbs throughout his professional career before stepping up to middleweight to meet Eubank Jr.

His opponent also had struggles making middleweight, missing the weigh in limit by 0.05lbs resulting in a £500,000 fine just 24 hours before the first contest.

Once again a 10 pound rehydration clause is in place for the rematch.

After a movie-like appearance from Chris Eubank Sr in the first fight, the rematch will look to better the first contest as Benn seeks revenge.

After the second outing, a trilogy is definitely possible, especially if Benn can get the nod.

‘The Destroyer’ has also confirmed he is keen to back down in weight and campaign at 147lbs once again, flirting with fights against WBC champion, Mario Barrios and Ryan Garcia.

For Eubank Jr his next steps are unknown, but in an interview with ITV News he confirmed his father would rather see him retire than continue fighting after the rematch.
