Conor Benn has been a man in demand since his valiant effort against Chris Eubank Jr.

Benn jumped up two weight classes to middleweight to face Eubank Jr, losing by unanimous decision at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium last month.

‘The Destroyer’ is contractually obligated to face the Brighton man again and is expected to do so in September.

However, the 28-year-old has been called out by several rivals across the pond, including Ryan Garcia and Rolly Romero, who beat the latter in New York earlier this month.

Benn has now been targeted by three-weight world champion, Shakur Stevenson, who defends his WBC lightweight world title against William Zepeda in New York on July 12.

In a recent interview, Stevenson said he would move up three weight classes to face the Essex man.

“I just watched Conor Benn,” Stevenson said on the Breakfast Club.

“I like Conor Benn too.

“No disrespect, but I would fight him at 154lbs.

“I swear I would fight him.”

The Newark man doubled down on the callout on social media, directly telling Benn: “I’m gonna pick you apart.

“Too sharp, too much speed, too smart.

“And hitting me with a big shot gonna be the last thing you do.”

Benn responded to the 27-year-old by saying: “You wanna do it next Shakur?

“Let’s run it. No cheap talk.”

Eddie Hearn, who promotes both men, flew to New York on Thursday for the launch press conference for Stevenson’s clash with Zepeda and told Pro Boxing Fans on Wednesday that he’d been in touch with Stevenson over fighting Benn.

“I spoke to him earlier, he wants it,” Hearn revealed.

“I said, ‘look we’ll speak tomorrow, but you’ve got Zepeda first.’

“Everyone wants to fight Conor Benn.

“He’s in an unbelievable position and he’s ready to fight them all.”
