Teron came out tentatively in the first, looking to use his reach and establish his jab against the smaller Hope. There was good action from both in the middle rounds as Hope was successful in luring Teron into a bit of a slugfest.

In the fourth a left hook, stunned Hope and Teron jumped all over him, landing a barrage of shots. With Teron pummeling Hope against the ropes, the ref had no choice but to call a halt to the contest. Official time of the stoppage was 1:38 of the fourth round.

MONAGHAN ANNIHILATES WHITING

Fighting in front of a strong contingent of fans, Irish Seanie Monaghan did not disappoint as he made quick work of Minnesota’s Nick Whiting.

Monaghan, the 2009 NY Golden Gloves Light Heavyweight Champion, came to the ring accompanied by a bag piper, much to the delight of the pro Irish crowd in attendance.

Monaghan came out fast in the first, landing heavy shots to both the body and head of Whiting. In the second a vicious left hook to the body sent Whiting down in a heap. There was no need for a count as Whiting had no intentions of getting up from the crippling blow. Official time of the stoppage was 1:38 of the second round.
