Heavyweight veteran Derek Chisora has given his thoughts to Talksport Boxing about the upcoming clash between Moses Itauma and Dilllian Whyte.
Chisora and Whyte have met in the ring twice before and a trilogy was rumoured for Chisora’s 50th and apparent final fight.
Whyte instead opted to take on 20-year-old prospect Moses Itauma.
Chisora is definitely not fond of the match-up, evident in the comments, even directly pleading Itauma to “not put him to sleep that badly” over message.
“There’s no light at the end of the tunnel, to be honest with you. I did message [Dillian] and said listen, I don’t know what you’re doing taking that fight. He said, ‘I don’t care, you’re not my friend.’
“I messaged Moses and said listen, fight him but don’t put him to sleep that badly, basically.
“I wish him all the best. I will be there to support it. But if that fight goes past four rounds, then we’re in trouble.
“Let’s be honest, you’re boxing a guy who’s 24-years-old, got all his faculties right, getting trained by one of the best in the UK. Mate, you’ve got more chance of winning the lottery than beating Moses Itauma.”

It was made public that Whyte was a possible opponent for Anthony Joshua after promotor Eddie Hearn confirmed it in an interview with Boxing Scene.
A fight with Joshua is one that former trainer of Dillian Whyte, Mark Tibbs believed is a far better one for him when speaking to Pro Boxing Fans.
“I don’t like that fight for him I never thought he would be a step up for someone.
“Moses is a serious responsive operator and the man can pick his punches well.
“Moses is the favourite for me in that fight.
“100% I much prefer ‘AJ’ vs Dillian Whyte that would have been the trilogy.
“They boxed once in the amateurs, Dillian actually won that fight, ‘AJ’ knocked Dillian out as a professional so this would’ve been the trilogy.
“I’d much rather have seen that yeah.”
Whyte comes in against 12-0 (11 KOs) Itauma as a massive underdog.

If Itauma wins as expected he will grow his name massively adding someone like Whyte onto his resume.
For ‘The Body Snatcher’ a win would be monumental, steering his career back on track and setting up even bigger future fights.
