Clarke and TKV were ordered to face each other for the vacant British title last month, following David Adeleye’s decision to relinquish it.

It remains to be seen whether BOXXER will manage to retain other standout names from their roster, including Ben Whittaker, Adam Azim, Lauren Price, Caroline Dubois and Callum Simpson.

Shalom confirmed to talkSPORT that despite his deal with the BBC, he will be involved in promoting the rematch between Chris Eubank Jr and Conor Benn on November 15 which is expected to land on DAZN.

Alex Kay-Jelski, Director of BBC Sport, said: “Bringing professional boxing back to primetime BBC television, free-to-air, and to our extensive digital platforms is an exciting moment for us and for boxing fans.

“Boxing is a sport that we know deeply resonates with younger audiences and this deal with BOXXER enables us to showcase the next generation of British fighters – delivering top-tier national boxing moments to all audiences, wherever and however they want it.”

A representative for BOXXER declined comment on whether Clarke-TKV was the first fight on the deal, when contacted by proboxing-fans.com.
