The Braehead Arena in Glasgow hosts championship action this Saturday night, as hometown hope Nathaniel Collins attempts to take the European featherweight title from the waist of the current champion, Cristobal Lorente, in the main event.
Frank Warren and Queensberry promote Collins vs Lorente, and DAZN televise the card live.
Collins (17-0, KO8) is one of the brightest talents in Warren’s stable, and ‘The Nightmare’ was Commonwealth champion in just his eighth fight, stopping Felix Williams in three rounds for the vacant belt in July 2021.
Two defences followed before he added the vacant British title in March 2023, halting James Beech Jnr in seven, and another two defences were negotiated before Collins hit European level, taking the silver strap with a clear points win against Francesco Grandelli last May.
2025 have seen Collins out twice, and his most recent outing saw a stunning fourth-round stoppage of Lee McGregor in Glasgow.

Now comes the challenge of Spain’s Lorente (20-0-2, KO8), and the Barcelona native had to travel to Albania and get off the deck to take the European title, taking a majority decision against Mauro Forte last July.
He defended on the cards in Italy, outpointing aforementioned Grandelli at the end of 2024, but was held to a draw in his last defence against the unbeaten Ruben Gil.
Prediction: Collins is on the up, and has impressed with each appearance. He can become the new champion here with a stoppage win against the visitor.
Willy Hutchinson vs Mark Jeffers
A superb clash on the undercard over a scheduled ten rounds sees Willy Hutchinson (18-2, KO13) up against Mark Jeffers (20-1, KO7).
Hutchinson took a thrilling points win in Riyadh against Craig Richards last June, and then ran Joshua Buatsi close for the interim WBO world title last September, losing via split decision.
Jeffers is also coming off a loss, as he was upset by majority decision by Sean Hemphill in June.
Prediction: This should be a cracking contest, and I lean towards Hutchinson prevailing on the scorecards.
Remaining Undercard
The vacant British title is up for grabs at lightweight, and English champion Louie O’Doherty (10-0, KO2) can become the new belt-holder with a points win over Celtic champion, Regan Glackin (16-0, KO3).
The final ten-rounder should see Aston Brown (8-0, KO3) take the vacant Celtic middleweight title with a stoppage win against Paul Kean (19-4, KO2).
The sole eight-rounder is at super bantamweight, where Marcus Sutherland (8-0, KO5) can outscore Harsh Saroha (7-1-2, KO1).
In six-rounders, Steve Collins Jr (15-5-1, KO4), who has lost three of his last four contests, should take the win on points at light heavyweight against Javier Santana (3-2-2, KO1), and at super lightweight, Reese Lynch (1-0, KO1) can do the same against Jakub Laskowsji (6-37-1, KO3).

Super featherweight prospect Yandiel Lozano-Oquendo (1-0, KO0) should also be a points winner in his contest against Mario Victorino Vera (8-8, KO3).
In four round action, Drew Limond (4-0, KO1) may need the distance to see off Alexyv Mikhail Arellano Leon (4-13-1, KO2) at welterweight, and at super middleweight, Alex Arthur Jr (1-0, KO0) can win on points against Grzegorz Mardyla (1-2-1, KO1). Super welterweight debutant John Joe Carrigan can stop Poland’s Dawid Przbylski (2-3, KO1).
