Deontay Wilder vs Tyrell Herndon is a pay-per-view offering through BLK Prime.
Wilder makes one final run for glory in his professional career this Friday night at the modest Charles Koch Arena in Wichita, with Herndon his opponent over a scheduled ten rounds at heavyweight.
The card is a pay-per-view offering through BLK Prime.
Wilder (43-4-1, KO42) has seen his stock drop dramatically of late, starting with a seventh-round loss to Tyson Fury in 2020 that came with the loss of his WBC title.
An attempt to win it back in late 2021 came up short, as Fury got off the deck twice to knock Wilder out in 11, and although he returned with an opening-round knockout of Robert Helenius, it proved a false dawn, as ‘The Bronze Bomber’ dropped a lacklustre decision to Joseph Parker in December 2023.

Last June would see more misery for the Alabama man, with Zhilei Zhang condemning him to defeat in five rounds in Riyadh.
Herndon (24-5, KO14) is a very safe option for a return here.
The Texan has been stopped in four of his five defeats, including a one-round loss to the debuting Efe Ajagba in 2017, and to Ricardo Torrez Jr in two in 2023.
He is on a run of three straight wins since that reverse, all at a low level, the last a split decision over six against Rudy Silvas last May.

Prediction: This should be short work for Wilder, and won’t give many clues as to how much he has left. He can get the job done within two rounds.
Undercard
In ten round action, Deon Nicholson (21-1, KO17) should win his light heavyweight meeting with Devonte Williams (13-1, KO6) early, and heavyweight novice Gustavo Trujillio (7-0, KO6) can do the same against the experienced Nigerian, Lateef Kayode (22-5, KO17).

In six round contests, super middleweight hope Marco Romero (8-0, KO7) can win his battle of unbeatens against Andre Amaro (2-0, KO2) inside schedule, and Nico Hernandez (11-0, KO4) should take his super flyweight contest against Robert Ledesma (3-14-1, KO2) by the same method.
At cruiserweight, Jeff Page Jr (18-3, KO12) should halt Jurmain McDonald (8-9, KO3) early, and at super lightweight, Jorge Carlos (9-0, KO8) can also win early on in his clash with Kerim Morkoc (4-2-1, KO4).
Heavyweight banger John Cantrell (13-0, KO12) should blast our Franklin Sparks (4-4, KO3).
At four-round level, Kayla Williams (1-1, KO1) can outscore Helen Lucero (0-4) at lightweight, and Joshua Richey can take his battle with fellow debutant Chancey Wilson on the cards.
At lightweight, Eric Valencia (3-0, KO3) can stop Willie Harris (0-1), and Miguel Noah Aldana (3-0, KO3) can do the same against first-timer General Lee.
