Daniel Dubois could return to the ring before the end of the year.
Dubois saw his bid to become undisputed heavyweight champion dashed in five rounds by Oleksandr Usyk in their rematch last month at Wembley Stadium.
The 27-year-old was expected to spend an extended period out of the ring following the devastating defeat, but could be back earlier than anticipated.
On Tuesday, it was announced that the Londoner has signed with prominent manager Sam Jones and Jones told proboxing-fans.com later on Tuesday that he could fight in December.
Jones was in the opposing corner to Dubois in 2020 when he was steering the career of Joe Joyce, who handed ‘Dynamite’ the first defeat of his professional career.

“We started in opposite corners and I’m proud to be in the same corner now,” he said to proboxing-fans.com.
“The aim is to become a two-time heavyweight champion of the world.”
Dubois came in for heavy criticism following his defeat to Usyk after it emerged that a pre-fight party took place at his house hours before he entered the ring.

The 27-year-old, who was stopped by the Ukrainian in nine rounds almost two years prior, reportedly turned up later than planned to the stadium before he lost his IBF heavyweight title.
Despite the defeat, Dubois remains highly ranked by two of the four governing bodies, with the WBO placing him at five and the WBC putting him at two in their rankings.
The WBO has ordered Usyk to make a mandatory defence of his title against interim champion, Joseph Parker and the pair have until August 23 to agree a deal before purse bids are called.
Should the 38-year-old opt to relinquish his crown, then Parker is likely to be elevated straight away to world champion and be ordered to face the winner of Saturday’s clash between Moses Itauma and Dillian Whyte.
Dubois’ quickest route back to a world title shot appears to be with the WBC and he could feasibly be ordered to face Queensberry stablemate, Lawrence Okolie who is the number one ranked contender.
