Chris Eubank Jr has had some choice words for former opponent Billy Joe Saunders following last month’s drama at Tottenham Hotspurs Stadium.
Saunders was sent by Conor Benn’s team to inspect Eubank’s hands getting wrapped before their grudge match on April 26, however was refused entry by ‘Next Gen’s imposing manager Napper.
A heated back and forth ensued, which quickly went viral on social media and had fans clamouring for a rematch between the Brighton man and ‘BJS’, over a decade on from their British title clash.
Eubank has finally broken his silence on the altercation – and there is clearly still no love lost.
He also told the Diary Of A Ceo podcast that he would be all to happy to run it back with his long time foe.

“There are very few people in boxing that I genuinely dislike. He [Billy Joe Saunders] is one of those people.
“Not only is he a drugs cheat, he is actually a real scummy human being.
“And I don’t talk about anybody like this. So if I’m saying it about him, there’s a reason.
“He is a bad, bad person. A terrible advocate for the sport and just a real lowlife human being.
“I don’t say that about any of the guys I fought – I’m not even saying that about Conor!
“There’s nothing to like about Billy-Joe Saunders. And for that reason, I would love to get my hands on him.”
‼️ Billy Joe Saunders has stated he is OPEN to coming back for a rematch with Chris Eubank Jr, 11 years on from their first fight.
🗣️”To be honest – I’d use Eubank as a warm up before becoming a three weight world champion. Based on the Benn fight, I wouldn’t need a warm up.” pic.twitter.com/UEFIHvIs6M

Despite the bad blood, a rematch with Saunders won’t be next for Eubank, as he is contractually tied into a second showdown with Benn.
The former two-weight world champion, who has not boxed since a stoppage loss to Canelo Alvarez back in May 2021, also looks to be significantly far off fighting condition and would likely need at least one tune up fight first.
