Chris Eubank Sr has vowed to make a sensational comeback, should his son continue to fight after his victory over Conor Benn last month.

Eubank Sr was by his son’s side on fight night, despite publicly condemning the bout with Benn in the weeks leading up to their epic battle at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, which Eubank Jr won by unanimous decision.

The pair are contractually obliged to fight for a second time, with Benn’s promoter, Eddie Hearn expecting the rematch to be staged at September 27 at Tottenham again.

Despite the lure of another huge payday against Benn and a potential showdown with Canelo Alvarez lurking, Eubank Sr has since advised his 35-year-old son to retire.

And the former two-weight world champion has now even claimed that should his son carry on, he will also return in an exhibition.

“He doesn’t need to do anything else,” the 58-year-old said on his YouTube channel Call Chris Eubank.

“He’ll never better that performance.

“There’s two of us now. There’s nothing we can’t do.

“No, don’t put it back on the line.

“If you don’t get back into the ring Junior then neither will I.

“But if you get back into the ring, then I’m going to fight someone in some exhibition match.

“I’m putting the pressure on you.

“Do you want to see me fight again? Yeah?

“Ok, well you take another fight and I’ll fight too, because I’m with you.”

Eubank Sr has not fought since retiring after a second straight defeat to Carl Thompson in 1998.

The Brighton resident fought Conor’s father, Nigel Benn twice in the 1990’s and both men were sat next to each other at ringside for the bout between their sons.

Benn, 28, commented on an Instagram post by Pro Boxing Fans on Thursday, saying: “@nigelbennofficial same card 🤣.”
