Dave Allen exacted revenge at the Copper Box Arena as he took a fifth round knockout win against Johnny Fisher in their heavyweight rematch on Saturday.

Fisher (13-1, 11 KOs) took a split decision win against Allen (24-7-2, 19 KOs) in Riyadh last December, but many felt the Doncaster man had done more than enough to get his hand raised, especially after dropping Fisher in the fifth round.

‘The Romford Bull’ came out with intent and on the front foot, but Allen remained patient, and a pair of right hands during the opener got the 26-year-old’s attention.

Fisher worked well off the jab in the second, and a left uppercut found the mark for him, and a body shot troubled Allen in the third.

Although Fisher was having the better of the action, the contest looked like it could change pace at any time, and after having the best of the fourth, the Essex man would then unravel just a round later.

A right hand from Allen buckled the legs of Fisher in round five, and a right hand had him on the floor, and badly shaken.

The end wasn’t long in coming, as a massive left hand detonated from ‘The White Rhino’ and Fisher was flat on his face just as the towel was coming in from his corner.

Despite the scores level at one apiece, Allen shut down calls for a trilogy.

“He over-exaggerated the movement, which worked against him,” the 33-year-old told DAZN.

“I told him December 22, ‘don’t box me straight away mate, because I’ll knock you out.’

“Johnny Fisher is my friend. The nicest kid in the world.

“I wouldn’t allow it [a third bout] to happen, because it’s not in his best interests.”

Conway wins British title

Kieron Conway added the British middleweight title to his Commonwealth crown as he took a fourth round stoppage win against Gerome Warburton (15-6-2, 2 KOs).

Conway (23-3-1, 7 KOs) was dominant during the fight, and eventually forced Warburton’s corner to throw the towel in when under heavy fire.

Liddard sweeps past Sutton

George Liddard (12-0, 7 KOs) remained on course for a meeting with Conway, stopping Aaron Sutton in five rounds.

Sutton (19-2, 3 KOs) was decked in each of the first, second and fifth rounds before his corner had seen enough and threw the towel in.

Sains secures Southern Area strap

Jimmy Sains (10-0, 9 KOs) had to go the distance for the first time as a professional, but took a points win against Gideon Onyenani (7-5) to take the vacant Southern Area middleweight title.

Scores of 100-91, 100-90 and 98-92 confirmed Sains’ dominance.

Remaining Undercard

The sole eight rounder came at super flyweight, where Shannon Ryan (9-1, 1 KO) had to get off the canvas in the third round before taking a points win against Fara El Bousairi (10-6, 3 KOs).

In six rounders, super middleweight prospect Taylor Bevan (4-0, 4 KOs) needed just two rounds to get past Juan Cruz Cacheiro (7-5, 3 KOs) and Emmanuel Buttigieg (9-0, 3 KOs) was a third round winner at middleweight against Novak Radulovic (20-13-1, 8 KOs).
