Tyson Fury’s dream opponent named and it’s not Anthony Joshua

Tyson Fury has revealed his dream next opponent.

Tyson Fury dream opponent has been revealed and it isn’t Anthony Joshua.

Joshua and Fury have been on a collision course to face each other but are still yet to meet.

Fury retired not for the first time after his second loss to two-time undisputed world champion Oleksandr Usyk in January.

Since retirement Fury has teased a comeback multiple times and first revealed a possible return to the ring when speaking to Pro Boxing Fans.

“If I was going to come back,” the 36-year-old said.

“I’d come back for Usyk, but I want a fair result in England.”

Fury’s long-time promoter, Frank Warren spoke to – where he once again confirmed Fury’s interest in a trilogy fight against ‘The Cat’.

“He’s indicated to me that he does want to carry on.

“There’s a lot of talk about Joshua, there’s talk about Joshua having a tune up so there’s no way he’ll sit around waiting, but the fight he really wants is another go with Usyk.

“He hasn’t got a lot of miles on the clock, he’s nobody’s fool, he’s a very smart guy, he knows better than you and me what he’s got left and what he can do.

“He doesn’t need to fight, I’m sure his family don’t want him to fight, but he’s a fighting man and if he decides to move forward and do it, he’ll do it.”

After the first two losses of his career many have questioned if that is the last we will see of ‘The Gypsy King’.

Despite Fury aiming at a chance of redemption against the Ukrainian, he was ordered to face Joseph Parker and defend his belts but has been since granted an extension before.

Joshua has not returned to the ring since his brutal loss to to Daniel Dubois last year but promotor Eddie Hearn has confirmed he may be in action before the end of the year.

Joshua recently took to social media to call out his rival.

“He’s [Joseph Parker] in the game to fight whoever, whenever and that’s the DNA of a real general.

“Unlike his dippy mate Tyson Fury.

“I would [discredit] his career/record in minutes, but I’ll leave that for a potential Gloves Are Off if he ever comes back and fights Big Femi [Joshua].

“To my supporters, I’ll be back to lace up my boots and put on my gloves sooner than later, hopefully punching Fury’s head in and dancing round his flicker jab with ease.”
