Eddie Hearn has warned the super welterweight division that Jaron Ennis will not be beatable.
Hearn announced last week that Ennis would likely move from welterweight, where he held two titles up to 154lbs and the Philadelphia man confirmed this on Wednesday.
Hearn claimed that ‘Boots’ was operating at 50% of his physical ability at 147lbs, despite forcing Eimantas Stanionis into retirement within six rounds of their welterweight unification in April.
And the Essex promoter is keen to see the 27-year-old face WBC world champion, Sebastian Fundora and IBF titlist, Bakhram Murtazaliev, as well as Vergil Ortiz Jr.
“This guy is going to put the fear of god up everybody at 154,” the 46-year-old told Matchroom Boxing.

“Not just at ’54, at ’60 as well over the next year or so.
“He’s a massive guy and those extra seven pounds are going to be huge for his performance.
“So back in August, September and then ready for everybody.

“Vergil Ortiz, Murtazaliev, Fundora, anyone you want.
“That Boots for me, 100% physical Jaron Ennis will be unbeatable.”
Hearn is plotting Ennis’ debut fight at super welterweight back in Philadelphia and named Ukraine’s Serhii Bohachuk one of the leading candidates.
Bohachuk, the former WBC interim champion, dropped Ortiz Jr twice, before being edged out on a majority decision last August and is the number one contender with the WBC.

“I like the Bohachuk fight,” Hearn told Pro Boxing Fans on Thursday.
“[Keith] Thurman, [Brian] Mendoza.
“The Saudis came to us when they knew we were moving to ’54 and they said, ‘do you want to fight Vergil Ortiz [on] August 16?’
“We said yes.

“They said ‘we’ll come back to you.’
“They came back and said, ‘he’s not ready [on] August 16, but we’ll look at that for later in the year.’
“No problem at all.
“So we’ll fight around that date and then he’s ready.”
