talkSPORT’S Spencer Oliver has claimed Dillian Whyte is the biggest test of Moses Itauma’s career.
Itauma has been flawless since turning pro in 2023, but is set to face the experienced Whyte, who is looking to get his career back on track.
Former European Champion, Oliver spoke to talkSPORT about the card and feels this may be a changing of the tide for boxing.
Oliver emphasised Whyte is no pushover, reminding listeners that he is a former interim world champion and still holds a lot of credibility in boxing.

“It’s a huge card, I’m really looking forward to it.
“It’s a fantastic fight card we have got out there.
“It’s the sort of coming-of-age fight, if you like, for Moses Itauma.

“He’s going in against Dillian Whyte, who’s got much credibility in the sport.
“He’s achieved what he’s achieved.
“He was a WBC interim champion.”
Oliver excitedly said he thinks that Whyte is a big step-up for Itauma after he has demolished his prior opponents.

The 20-year-old is currently 12-0 as a professional with 10 knockouts, most recently stopping Mike Balogun last month.
In his last eight fights, Itauma has stopped all of his opponents in just 11 rounds.
Oliver believes that this fight for Whyte is a last roll of the dice as he looks to stop the momentum of Itauma and get his own career back on track.
He also mentioned Whyte’s last fight against Ebenezer Tetteh, where he didn’t look as impressive as his former self.

“You get the feeling this is a passing of the baton type fight for the heavyweights.
“The younger generation is coming through and now making that jump and taking those chances.
“It is a massive step up.
“They feel this is the right timing now for Dillian Whyte, who has not looked particularly good.

“We know that he is heavy-handed, and we know that he will come and give it everything.
“He knows it is the last chance saloon for him; he needs the victory here.
“We are seeing the younger generation now coming through, and is it a changing of the times?”
“We will find out just how good he is on the 16th of August when he boxes Dillian Whyte.
“I think he wins it and wins it in style.”
