Amir Khan will promote his next show in Nigeria later this year.

Former world champion, Khan promoted his first show in Ghana in June, headlined by former world title challenger, Andrew Tabiti and the 38-year-old is now teaming up with Dr. Ezekiel Adamu’s Balmoral Group Promotions for his latest venture.

The Bolton man will promote his second show on October 1 under his AK Promotions at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena in Lagos with a cruiserweight clash between Brandon Glanton and Rocky Fielding, live on DAZN.

Glanton looks to bounce back from defeat to Chris Billam-Smith in April, while Rocky Fielding returns after almost three years out since defeat to Dan Azeez, who also features on the card.

Fielding previously held the WBA ‘regular’ super middleweight title, losing that crown to Canelo Alvarez in three rounds in 2018.

“After three years out, I’m back with a fire to claim my place at the top,” Fielding said.

“Beating Glanton in Lagos will show everyone I’m ready for a world title shot.

“The cruiserweight division is wide open, and I’m coming for it all.”

Glanton remains highly-ranked in the WBC rankings behind champion, Badou Jack and the American has vowed to put out a statement to the elite of the division.

“I’m coming to Lagos to settle the score with Rocky Fielding.

“Our styles guarantee fireworks, and I’m ready to prove I belong at the top of the cruiserweight division,” the 33-year-old said.

Elsewhere, former lightweight world champion, Richard Commey returns against undefeated British prospect, Shiloh Defreitas (6-0, 3 KOs).

Commey fights for the first time since a March 2023 loss to Jose Ramirez.

Middleweight Elvis Ahorgah, who suffered defeats to Callum Simpson and Tyler Denny is also in action.

“I’m thrilled to bring world-class boxing and the world’s eyes onto Nigeria for the first time,” Khan said.

“This event is about more than just fights – it’s about inspiring a new generation and showcasing the heart and skill of Nigerian boxers alongside international stars.

“Lagos is ready to shine.”
