Joseph Parker has revealed parts of his gameplan for Fabio Wardley fight
Parker and Wardley will meet in the ring on October 25 at the O2 Arena.
Parker has had a stretch outside of the ring, last fighting in February where he faced heavyweight boogeyman, Martin Bakole on two days notice.
The New Zealander made easy work of Bakole stopping him in the second round.
He now is set to face knockout artist, Fabio Wardley who has an impressive 18 stoppages in his 20 fights.
The 30-year-old was last in action in June where he faced Australian Justis Huni.
Huni caused Wardley a lot of problems, winning most if not all of the rounds prior to Wardley’s brutal stoppage in round ten.

Parker spoke to Boxing News and revealed despite watching Wardley’s last fight he will not just look to replicate the Australian’s dominance before the stoppage.
“I am not just going to look at Fabio’s last fight.
“[My trainer] Andy [Lee] said to me ‘listen, sometimes fighters do just have a bad day in the office’ and it could well be that he had a bad day in the office, or it could be that the experience of Justis Huni made him look like that.
“A lot of people will look at that and say, ‘that is all I have to do to beat him’, but that fight will probably make him better than what he was, he can learn a lot from that fight, even though he got the win.”
Parker instead claimed they will take notes of all of Wardley’s past performances, including his 10-round war with Frazer Clarke, just the second time the man from Ipswich has heard the final bell.

He also revealed a key part of the gameplan to victory.
“We are looking at the last four or five fights and seeing what he has done.
“We are not just looking at the last fight and saying, ‘you know what, that is the blueprint’, and a lot of people will.
“[The key is] just being patient and being dominant. Being patient and picking your moments. Picking your moments, showing that experience and showing that there are different levels in this game of boxing.”
Parker marks Wardley’s biggest step-up, facing a former world champion who has shared the ring with some of the sport’s best including Anthony Joshua, Dillian Whyte and Andy Ruiz Jr.

Parker was ordered as a mandatory defence against undisputed champion, Oleksandr Usyk, but the fight didn’t materialise with the Ukrainian picking up an injury.
