Planet Ice in Altrincham is the home for a Queensberry-promoted card this Saturday, and in the main event, Jack Rafferty defends his British and Commonwealth titles against Mark Chamberlain.
DAZN televise the Rafferty Chamberlain bill live
Rafferty (26-0, KO17) has really come to the fore in recent times, and after wiping Lee Appleyard out in a round to win the Commonwealth title in 2023, he would then take the vacant British and WBC International Silver straps in October last year, winning a thriller by forcing Henry Turner to retire after nine rounds of battle in Liverpool.
‘Demolition Man’ then defended via seventh-round stoppage against Reece MacMillan in February, and his last assignment came in Manchester in April, defending the Commonwealth belt by halting Cory O’Regan in five rounds.
Chamberlain (17-1, KO12) has mainly operated at lightweight, with two appearances on Saudi Arabia bills, but he came unstuck against Josh Padley last year, dropped in the eighth on the way to a ten-round points reverse.

The Portsmouth man returned in April, winning all eight rounds against Miguel Angel Scaringi to set the contest with Rafferty up.
Prediction: This could be a fight full of exchanges, and I think Rafferty, being the bigger man, can grind Chamberlain down to retain his belts in the later rounds.
Zak Miller vs Lyon Woodstock
At the head of the undercard, Zak Miller (16-1, KO3) defends his Commonwealth featherweight title, with former British and Commonwealth title challenger Lyon Woodstock (16-4, KO7) his opposition for his first defence.
Miller took a massive jump up in class, and to championship-level for the first time in November 2023, and took Nathaniel Collins to the wire in a bid for the British and commonwealth titles, but lost a majority verdict by just two points on two cards.
Since then, Miller has won the vacant English belt, and became British and Commonwealth king in his last fight, a majority decision win against Masood Abdulah in Manchester in February.
Leicester’s Woodstock always comes to fight, and his defeats have been in good company, the last a majority reverse to Kurt Walker in Belfast in March.

Prediction: Miller is in good form, and with Woodstock tried and tested, he will likely last the distance. I think Miller can retain on points.
Remaining Undercard
Big-punching super flyweight Jack Turner (11-0, KO10) sees action, and he should end his scheduled ten-rounder with Nicolas Agustin Muguruza (11-0, KO6) inside the distance.

In eight-rounders, Henry Turner (14-1, KO6) has his second straight fight at welterweight, and he should win comfortably on the cards against Ivan Blazevic (8-1, KO3).
At lightweight, Steven Cairns (11-0, KO7) steps up to this level for the first time, and the Irishman can triumph via stoppage against Kirk Stevens (7-4-1, KO0).
In six-round affairs, Lewis Richardson (1-0, KO0) can bank a first stoppage win in his middleweight bout with Artjom Spatar (5-16-1, KO1), and at featherweight, Charlie Senior (1-0, KO0) will likely need the distance to win on points against Darwing Martinez (8-34-2, KO6).
Middleweight novice Jack Power (5-0, KO1) can also be a points winner against Dimitri Protkunas (8-22-1, KO1). Also at middleweight, Liverpool’s Stephen Clarke (6-0, KO1) can run out a winner on points against Joe Hardy (5-35, KO0).
