Shakur Stevenson has weighed in with his prediction for Devin Haney’s world title clash with Brian Norman Jr.
Stevenson will be a keen observer when Haney challenges Norman Jr for his WBO welterweight world title on November 22 in Riyadh.
Haney, who is looking to become a three-weight world champion, is a very slight underdog heading into his meeting with the Georgian, who scored a highlight-reel fifth round knockout over Jin Sasaki in June.
Stevenson though believes ‘The Dream’ can emerge victorious if he can emulate the performance which saw him overcome Jose Ramirez on points at Times Square in May.
“Hard fight for both,” the 28-year-old told Ring Champs with Ak and Barak.

“[I would lean towards] Devin.
“I like Brian. I’m really a fan of Brian Norman Jr.
“I think he’s a tremendous fighter.

“He’s got punching power. He’s got good footwork.
“I think that’s slept on. People think he’s got slow feet and I don’t believe that.
“But I’m leaning towards Devin, because if Devin do what he did in his last fight, I think he’s going to be very hard to beat.”
Stevenson retained his WBC lightweight world title with a unanimous decision victory over William Zepeda in July, the third defence of his belt.
The Newark southpaw has been eyeing a mouthwatering unification with WBA champion, Gervonta Davis, but ‘Tank’ has opted to face Jake Paul in an exhibition on November 14 in Miami and claimed on social media that he’ll retire after the bout.
Stevenson is now eyeing a world title in a fourth division, with talks ongoing for a showdown with WBO super lightweight titlist, Teofimo Lopez.

“That’s the fight I want,” he added.
“There’s nobody else around that’s going to be a bigger fight than me vs Teo.
“He’s close to my weight.
“He fights at 140.
“I don’t mind going up to 140 for him so I think the fight’s going to happen.”
