Oleksandr Usyk became undisputed heavyweight champion once again, as he added the IBF title that he had previously held to his WBC, WBA, WBO and IBO crowns with a sublime fifth-round knockout of Daniel Dubois at Wembley Stadium.
Usyk (24-0, 15 KOs) won the original meeting between the two in August 2023 in Poland, knocking Dubois (22-3, 21 KOs) out in nine, before moving on to defeat Tyson Fury to become undisputed champion.
In the intervening period, Dubois stopped Filip Hrgovic in eight to become IBF interim champion, and was upgraded to full champion once Usyk agreed to fight Fury for a second time. ‘Dynamite’ defended for the first time last September, stunning Anthony Joshua in five rounds.
The visitor planted a superb jab in the opening seconds, and Dubois was having trouble pinning his opponent down.
Usyk’s footwork was in fine form, and it was forcing the 27-year-old’s punches to fall short as the Ukrainian made a solid start to the contest.

Dubois upped his output in the third as he tried to impose himself, and the pair exchanged punches, with Usyk coming off the more successful.
The 38-year-old southpaw boxed beautifully in the fourth, and he was systematically breaking the Brit down, with a right hook at the end of an exchange having Dubois on the deck heavily.
He beat the count, but the end came swiftly, an emphatic, whipping left hand scrambling Dubois’ legs from underneath him, and with ‘Dynamite’ unable to beat the count for a second time, the fight was over.
Okolie defeats Lerena
Lawrence Okolie headed the undercard, and the Londoner defended his WBC Silver heavyweight title with a forgettable wide points win against Kevin Lerena (31-4, 15 KOs).
Okolie (22-1, 16 KOs) ran out a winner by 100-90 on two cards, and 99-91 on the third to defend his belt and his lofty ranking.

Dacres defeats Sirenko
A third contest at heavyweight saw Vladyslav Sirenko (22-1, 19 KOs) lose his unbeaten record, as the Ukrainian was soundly beaten on the scorecards over ten round by Sol Dacres.
Dacres (10-1, 3 KOs) breathed new life into his career, taking the contest by scores of 99-91, 99-92 and 98-92.

Lapin edges past Edmondson
Ukrainian light heavyweight, Daniel Lapin (12-0, 4 KOs) defended his IBF Intercontinental and WBA Continental titles, and added the vacant WBO Intercontinental belt, but looked slightly fortunate to take a majority decision win against British and Commonwealth champion, Lewis Edmondson (11-1, 3 KOs).
A scrappy fight was scored 95-95 by one judge, but two scores of 96-94 in Lapin’s favour won him the fight.
Remaining Undercard
The sole six-rounder came at super lightweight, where Lasha Guruli (2-0, 1 KO) forced James Francis (7-2, 1 KOs) to retire after five rounds of battle, and in the only four-rounder, Aadam Hamed (6-0, 3 KOs) won all four rounds of his welterweight contest against Ezequiel Gregores (3-25).
