Miguel Cotto is already in preparations for his June 7th fight against Sergio Martinez. He’s working with new trainer Freddie Roach at the Wild Card Gym of course, and that means he’s been in the gym with Manny Pacquiao as well.
In this video interview with Freddie Roach, the trainer talks about Cotto’s training, moving up to middleweight, working in the gym with Pacquiao, and much more.
It’s an interesting take, and Roach mentions how there’s really no risk of Cotto and Pacquiao fighting again. So they’re comfortable working with one another and showing some tricks.
In terms of fighting Maravilla Martinez, instead of Canelo Alvarez, Roach talks about how Canelo is going to be around for a long time. The Martinez fight, especially as the reigning middleweight champion, had a much smaller window.
Check out everything Roach has to say in this video interview and keep on checking back for more Cotto vs. Martinez updates in the future.
