Dillian Whyte has provided an update ahead of his meeting with Moses Itauma.

Itauma and Whyte are set to meet in Saudi Arabia next month.

Former interim champion, Whyte spoke to IFLTV and provided an update on how his camp has been going.

He also reacted to many saying the clash with the 20-year-old is the biggest of his career.

Unlike Itauma, Whyte did not have the same amateur background and has often been seen as an underdog coming into big fights, something he touched on.

“Hard and gruelling.

“I never had a big amateur background so all I’ve ever heard was must-win must-win, it’s always the biggest fight of my career.”

Whyte spoke about how many risks he has taken throughout his career, the Itauma clash being another in a long list.

Itauma is touted to be the next superstar of the heavyweight division, impressing in his first 12 fights.

“Im a risk taker, my dad used to say everyone wants to go to heaven, but they’re scared to die.

“If it wasn’t for me being like that and taking risks I wouldn’t be where I am to do.”

The 37 year old explained why he actually took the fight for August 16th.

Whyte is on a run of three straight victories since his bid to become world heavyweight champion was dashed by Tyson Fury in six rounds.

He was slated to fight Joe Joyce but pulled out due to injury in June.

“I like to do what they say is not possible and what they say is not doable.

“No-one wants to fight him so you know what I’ll do I’ll fight him.

“You’ve got all these hard guys and so-called killers saying I don’t wanna fight him.

“A lot of guys are b****es they’re scared to take hard fights.”

Whyte has stepped up multiple times throughout his career, often perceived as the underdog going in for example against Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury.

A win for Itauma would provide his first big name victory on his resume ahead of challenging for titles.

Beating Itauma would be career-saving for Whyte who seems to be in the closing stages of his career.
