The vacant IBF Australasian lightweight title was claimed by Jake Wyllie at Fortitude Music Hall in Australia, as he took a ten-round points win against Youssef Dib at the top of a Matchroom-promoted bill.

Wyllie impressed in Brisbane over ten rounds against Dib.

Wyllie (18-2, KO16) was thrown in at late notice to take on George Kambosos Jr in Sydney in March, and he completed the championship distance in a spirited showing, before losing on the cards.

He  returned a month later, knocking out Saharat Taehirun in a round.

Dib (21-4, KO11) was coming off two gruelling losses to Liam Wilson in July 2024 and March 2025.

Wyllie began brightly, applying pressure in the first round while Dib tried to establish his jab.

Dib got some good shots off, but Wyllie’s work was the cleaner in the exchanges, and a body shot seemed to trouble Dib in round two.

Dib returned the favour in the third, rocking Wyllie with a right hand right on the bell, but the action became scrappy, until Wyllie landed a right that trouble Dib in the fifth.

Dib regrouped, and got back on his jab in the middle rounds, and with the fight going into the final round, it looked in the balance, with several rounds difficult to score.

Wyllie went for broke, and they traded in the final frame, but the action was fractious in the main, and with that in mind, the contest looked like it could go either way.

Two scores of a too-wide 98-92, and a third at 97-94, declared Wyllie the winner and new champion.

Skye Nicholson vs Urvashi Singh

The undercard was headed by Skye Nicholson (14-1, KO3), and she took the vacant IBF Intercontinental super bantamweight title with a ruthless second-round knockout win

against India’s Urvashi Singh (12-4, KO7).

Nicholson badly hurt Singh with a left hand to the body, and the visitor turned away in pain before taking head shots.

She then failed to beat the count as the contest was halted.

The only eight-rounder came at super bantamweight, where Leah Reuben (3-2-1, KO2) dominated before stopping Jittamat Phomta (9-12, KO6) in the seventh round of their meeting.

In the sole six rounder, Alex Leapai Jnr (6-0-1, KO5) needed just over a minute to win his heavyweight contest against Tom Ngapti (0-2).

In four-round action, welterweight hope Jimmie Phusomsai (6-0, KO5) went the distance for the first time, winning all available rounds against Patrick Clarke (2-12, KO1).

Riley Allen (2-0, KO1) took 40-34 verdicts across the board to defeat Laphya Reuben (0-2) at middleweight, and welterweight debutant Cassidy Thornberry (1-0, KO1) debuted in a first-round win against Surachet Tongmala (11-24, KO8).
