Big-time boxing returns to Orlando this weekend as Carlos Adames and Austin Williams clash live on DAZN.
Adames puts his WBC middleweight world title on the line against Williams.
‘Caballo Bronco’ and ‘Ammo’ were originally scheduled to fight earlier in the year on January 31st.
They were set to fight on the undercard of Teofimo Lopez and Shakur Stevenson’s blockbuster card, but the fight was pulled with Adames falling ill.
The Dominican is the reigning champion and became WBC interim champion back in 2022 when he stopped Juan Macias Montiel in the third round of their fight.
He most recently defended his full world championship on a Riyadh Season card in the co-main event to Dmitry Bivol and Artur Beterbiev’s rematch last February.
He took on British fighter Hamzah Sheeraz, the pair fought to a controversial split draw.
His opponent, Austin Williams, also fought Sheeraz back in 2024 and was on the wrong side of a stoppage defeat.

Despite that loss, ‘Ammo’ is on an impressive run of form with four wins in the last 16 months.
The Matchroom-promoted fighter fights for a world title for the very first time in his career.
Prediction: Carlos Adames should have enough to get a win on the rescheduled date and may stop ‘Ammo’ in the closing rounds.
Omari Jones vs Christian Gomez
In the co-main event, Olympic medallist Omari Jones returns to action after his points win over Jerome Baxter last time out.
His decision win in January was the first time Jones heard the final bell since turning professional last year.
‘Banger’ goes into his sixth professional fight and looks for a fifth stoppage to date.
He takes on seasoned Mexican fighter Gomez, who has an impressive 23 wins and should be the toughest test of Jones’ career to date.
Gomez comes off back-to-back losses since November 2024, but should still have enough to give Jones rounds in the first eight-round fight of his career.
Prediction: Jones’ amateur pedigree should provide more than enough experience to match the seasoned Gomez; he should win inside the distance and get himself back into the knockout column.
Teremoana Teremoana vs Curtis Harper
Another of Eddie Hearn’s most exciting prospects features on the undercard, this time in the heavyweight division.
Australian heavyweight and Olympic standout Teremoana Teremoana returns to the ring. Since his debut, he has proved to be a real threat to anyone he’s shared the ring with.
He has closed the show before the final bell in each and every one of his fights so far.
For the first time, the 28-year-old is scheduled to fight over eight rounds as he takes on Curtis Harper in what will be his second American outing.
Prediction: Teremoana should have more than enough to reach double figures in the knockout column despite his lack of professional experience.
Remaining Undercard
Two unbeaten prospects put it on the line on the undercard as Jaycob Gomez and Corey Marksman clash at super featherweight.
Despite having just two more fights, Gomez has boxed 20 more professional rounds than Marksman and will hope his experience will see him through to a career-best win.

The American, on the other hand, has more stoppage wins in fewer bouts, so will likely back himself to close the show in style.
Prediction: Gomez should get the job done in a close points win over 10 rounds.
At super welterweight, the unbeaten Antraveous Ingram returns to action against Christopher Thompson.
Prediction: Despite Thompson having more experience on paper, he will likely be outmatched and Ingram should pick up a comfortable stoppage win.
Junior Alcantara makes just his second appearance in a professional ring after a successful debut back in December; he should pick up another points victory against Israel Camacho.
Roberto Raul Rivera Gomez, Carlos Jamil De Leon Castro and Jordan Orozco Hernandez all feature on the card, with opponents set to be announced in the coming days.
