Dave Allen has confirmed he wants to face Jeamie TKV.
Following TKV’s victory over Frazer Clarke, Allen wants to face the 32-year-old in Sheffield.
On Saturday, Jeamie TKV defeated Olympic bronze medallist Frazer Clarke over 12 twelve rounds to become the British heavyweight champion in Derby.
In a post-fight press conference TKV spoke to the media.
“It feels amazing. There’s no words that could describe this feeling.
“It’s an amazing feeling. I’ve worked hard to get here and now we’re here.
“I’m happy, over the moon.”
Despite leaving the door open to a rematch with Clarke an opponent that has put himself in the mix is ’The White Rhino’.
Allen was last in action in October where he was beaten by Arslanbek Makhmudov.
Allen spoke to Matchroom’s ‘Small Talk’ on the potential clash with the British champion.
“[Jeamie] TKV just won the British title so I said to Eddie ‘let’s do TKV in Sheffield in the summer’.”
Allen confirmed on Matchroom’s talk show, ‘Small Talk’ that he will return to the ring on January 21st.
“I don’t know if it’s been announced yet but I’m boxing in Nottingham anyway.
“I’ve seen the poster so it’s a fact.”
He made his plans clear for how he wants his next few fights to play out and admitted how important a potential clash with TKV would be at this stage in his career.
“We’ll get a win in Nottingham then we’ll get TKV hopefully back in Sheffield. I’ll be 34 years old, that’ll be my last chance.
“That’d be the perfect night and the perfect place to do it.”
Allen was in negotiations with TKV earlier this year before the Clarke fight was made instead.
Throughout his career ‘The White Rhino’ has labelled the British title as one of if not his biggest goal in boxing.
TKV’s promoter, Ben Shalom also admitted his interest in making the fight with Allen when speaking to Pro Boxing Fans on Saturday.
“Right now I like the Dave Allen fight, I know Dave wants to fight for the British title, and I think it was going to be made [Before Clarke vs. TKV].
“There is history there.
“But he can also go bigger and better if he wants.”
