Undercard Features Mike Dallas Jr. vs. Josesito Lopez; Shawn Estrada & John Molina Jr.
Tickets go on sale tomorrow for the January 28, 2011 Goossen Tutor Promotions championship boxing event at the world-famous Pechanga Resort & Casino in Temecula, California. The scheduled six-bout card — featuring some of Southern California’s top boxing talent — has Riverside’s Cristobal “The Nightmare” Arreola (29-2, 25 KOs) attempting to solidify his top world rating in hopes of landing a second world title shot taking on rising young heavyweight knockout king, Joey “Minnesota Ice” Abell (27-4, 26 KOs) in the scheduled 10-round main event.
In addition, a pair of prominent young boxers often seen in action locally – undefeated Michael Dallas, Jr. (17-0-1, 7 KOs), of Bakersfield and Riverside’s world rated Josesito Lopez (28-3, 16 KOs) – will fight it out for the vacant NABF Junior Welterweight Title and a world title opportunity in the scheduled 10-round co-feature.
The main and co-main events will be televised LIVE on ESPN2’s “Friday Night Fights” (10pm ET/7pm PT).
Other popular local prospects slated to see action on the card are Covina’s top-10 ranked, NABO Lightweight Champion John Molina, Jr. (21-1, 17 KOs); undefeated East Los Angeles super middleweight and member of the 2008 U.S. Olympic Boxing Team, Shawn Estrada (10-0, 9 KOs); and undefeated bantamweights Matt Villanueva (4-0, 4 KOs) and Kevin Hoskins (3-0, 3 KOs) – from Van Nuys and Los Angeles, respectively – in separate four-round bouts.
