“Dazzling” Darrel Church heads to London’s York Hall for his first professional title fight for the British Challenge Light – Heavyweight belt on June 10th, 2017.

Church, who hails from Essex will fight in an eight-round bout on the undercard to promising lightweights Jamie Arlain and Adam Dingsdale who clash for the Southern Area title.

Church had struggled to balance his training and his work as a father of one and a business owner, having to withdraw from fights due to illness and injuries caused by exhaustion.

Once beginning his pro career, 27-year-old Darrel Church had two straight wins when previously signed to Carl Greaves Promotions but he lost to Angelo Crowe (2-6) after 10 months of inactive boxing and a subsequent draw followed.

Since signing to Goodwin Promotions, “Dazzling” Darrel Church has had two wins in under four months, showing he is desperate to stay active and with the help of full time sponsors MB Surfacing, Church has secured his third fight in six months.

Church, who is trained by Mark Massow, explained his happiness at the title opportunity.

“I’m over the moon to finally fight for a title in the professional ranks!” He said, “I’ve put so much into the game, I’ve made so many sacrifices and it’s now come down to this, to get my hands on a belt.”

Church knows it won’t be an easy task against whomever he faces but is looking forward to the title fight. “I’m going to be in with a very tough opponent and it’s going to be an absolute cracker!”

The packed show, aptly titled ‘Colossus’, features 11 unbeaten prospects, the final of The Fight Cup between cruiserweights Danny Couzens (8-10-2) and Ossie Jervier (4-2), and will be headlined by the mouth-watering, eagerly-awaited Southern Area title fight between promising prospect Jamie Arlain (5-0) and former Area champion Adam Dingsdale (16-3).
