Chris Eubank Jr and Conor Benn’s rematch was announced last week with the pair set to run it back in November.
Eubank Jr got the better of Benn over 12 rounds in April at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium – the same venue which will host their sequel.
His father was never keen on the potential of a fight with ‘The Destroyer’ dismissing the fight as a result of not believing in the weight and rehydration clause, although he did arrive on fight night after patching things up with his son.
He spoke on his YouTube channel dismissing the potential of a rematch.
“They fined him $500,000 for coming in, I don’t know, two ounces over the weight.

“Junior wasn’t even sweating at the end of the fight, dehydration.
“These rules are in place to save my son. To save the lives of fighters.
“Unfortunately, the reporters, the journalists, are not doing their job.

“They are dangerous and they are reckless. If the Boxing Board of Control do not do what they are supposed to do, which is to block fights from happening which do not abide by the weights and the rules. You are baboons!
“What I am here to do is to protect, and they are uneducated against those, what did my son call them?”
Eubank has publicly stated he would rather see Benn face his nephew Harlem Eubank rather than a rematch with Chris.

In a recent clip uploaded to his YouTube channel he revealed he now wants to see his son tackle the undisputed super middleweight champion of the world, Canelo Alvarez.
“As much as we want to see a Canelo against a Crawford, the weights are wrong and so it cannot happen.
“The fight you should be looking for is a Chris Eubank Jr against a Canelo.
“That makes sense, that I would back.”
Eubank Jr fought for a world title against George Groves where he was beaten on points in 2018.
Eubank Sr isn’t the only one who wants to see his son face Canelo Alvarez with His Excellency Turki Alalshikh stating Canelo will either face Hamzah Sheeraz or Eubank Jr after his fight in September should he defeat Terence Crawford.

Against his father’s wishes, Eubank Jr is set to return in November this year as he looks to repeat his huge victory over fierce rival Benn.
A fight with Canelo seems unlikely this year with both men tied up in mega fights in September and November respectively.
