Jeamie TKV has recently called out Dave Allen as he looks to return to the ring following a defeat last time out.
TKV and Allen were set to fight last year until the bout fell through.
Speaking to TalkSport, the former British heavyweight champion was asked whether he’d face ‘The White Rhino’ in his return fight.
He wasted no time explaining that the fight had previously been signed but fell through after the British Boxing Board of Control stepped in.
“Let me tell you something about that fight. Initially, before I boxed Frazer Clarke, that was the fight we had signed for.
“That was signed and all we had to do was wait for the board to confirm if it was going to be Dave Allen or Frazer Clarke.
“Obviously Frazer Clarke beat Dave Allen, so they made Frazer Clarke the mandatory.”
TKV was last in action in April on the undercard of Tyson Fury vs Arslanbek Makhmudov.
He faced Richard Riakporhe and looked to defend his British title but was beaten over five rounds.
As he looks to return to the ring, he reflected on a previous conversation with the 34-year-old regarding a possible fight.
“I will fight Dave Allen any time. I have been on FaceTime with him before and he said he’d need six months to prepare for me.
“I don’t know if he was joking. You didn’t need six months to prepare for Hrgovic – that’s what I’m thinking.
“He is a funny guy, so you have to take him with a pinch of salt, I guess.
“Any fight with a decent opponent and a decent name is a good fight for me.”
Allen boxed a couple of weeks ago against Ross McGuigan in Rotherham, picking up a points victory.
That was Allen’s first fight since he was stopped in three rounds by Filip Hrgovic in Doncaster.
TKV may have to wait for a possible fight with Allen, as ‘The White Rhino’ returns on July 25 once again in his home city of Doncaster, a city he will headline for the third time in his 35-fight professional career.
