Carl Froch has taken his latest swipe at Anthony Joshua.

Froch and Joshua were once training partners in Sheffield under the tutelage of Robert McCracken.

However, their relationship deteriorated, particularly when ‘AJ’ left McCracken following his first defeat to Oleksandr Usyk in September 2021.

Joshua’s bid to become a three-time heavyweight world champion was dashed in five rounds by Daniel Dubois last September and the 35-year-old has not been in the ring since.

Despite his accolades, Froch does not believe his career is worthy of a Hall of Fame induction, which the Nottingham man received himself in 2023.

“He’s had a great career,” the 47-year-old said on his YouTube channel Froch On Fighting.

“His legacy will be bringing boxing back to the forefront.

“Bringing boxing to the mainstream audience which is great, but he’s not had a Hall of Fame career in terms of who he’s beat.

“Something that Eddie Hearn said about Anthony Joshua, he said he’s fought everyone.

“No he hasn’t.

“Let’s not go into the Charles Martin fight for the IBF, whatever title that was and then the old man [Wladimir] Klitschko and then [Alexander] Povetkin.

“When he got beat by [Andy] Ruiz and he’s come back with [Jermaine] Franklin and he’s fought Otto Wallin and [Robert] Helenius and [Francis] Ngannou, you’re looking at these fighters that are doing him no favours.”

‘The Cobra’ has been ensued in an ongoing war of words with his ex-promoter Eddie Hearn, who also promotes Joshua, after he claimed the Watford man was finished.

The former super middleweight world champion insists the Matchroom Chairman should have delivered bouts for ‘AJ’ with long-time rivals Tyson Fury and Deontay Wilder when all three were in the primes of their careers.

“You should be making the fights with the likes of Tyson Fury, he didn’t fight him, he’s not fought him in his prime,” he added.

“I know you’re beating the drum now, but it’s too late.

“Deontay Wilder. The biggest puncher, the most feared man in heavyweight boxing.

“Tyson Fury jumped in with him three times.

“There was a time where he could have fought Fury and he could have fought Deontay Wilder and he didn’t.”
