Tyson Fury appears to have made a U-turn on returning to the ring.
Fury announced his retirement from the sport in January following a second successive defeat to Oleksandr Usyk in December.
‘The Gypsy King’ told media including Pro Boxing Fans at an IBA Pro event in Istanbul last month that he would be willing to come back for a third fight with the Ukrainian, prior to his victory over Daniel Dubois to become the undisputed heavyweight champion just over a fortnight ago.
“If I was going to come back, I’d come back for Usyk,” the 36-year-old said.
“But I want a fair result in England.

“That would be the one I’d want immediately.”
However, the Manchester man appears to have changed his mind, now claiming he will never step back into the ring.
When asked by Sky Sports if he’ll fight again, Fury replied: “Never.

“Too old, look at my beard, all grey.
“Boxing is a young man’s game.”
Usyk has been ordered to defend his WBO crown against interim champion, Joseph Parker, with the pair given 30 days from July 24 to agree a deal before purse bids are called.
Fury’s latest comments are a further blow to hopes of a long-awaited domestic showdown with Anthony Joshua.
Joshua has not fought since a brutal fifth round defeat to Dubois last September and his promoter Eddie Hearn has held talks with Jake Paul’s manager Nakisa Bidarian for a shock clash.

Paul, the YouTuber-turned-boxer, has been vocal in his callout of the former two-time heavyweight champion and Bidarian is targeting the bout for the early part of 2026.
“I think we’re looking at it happening in Q1 of 2026,” Bidarian told Sky Sports.
“I think it’s public that AJ was taking a little time away.
“I think he had a little surgery, so once he’s ready and once Jake is ready we’re going to squarely focus on that.”
